Areas of interest

My research interests are centred on developing innovative strategies to foster inclusive learning environments and enhance the overall student experience. I am particularly passionate about exploring how education can be a catalyst for equitable development and transformative change. My academic focus spans several critical areas, including energy policy and security, entrepreneurship, poverty alleviation, and the impact of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on energy transitions in middle-income and less-developed countries. Additionally, I am deeply interested in International Trade and Policy, especially as it intersects with sustainable development and global equity. I am eager to contribute to curriculum design by playing an active role in developing and refining modules that reflect these interdisciplinary areas. My goal is to help shape educational programs that not only address pressing global challenges but also empower students to engage meaningfully with them.

Background

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and academic leadership. Before my tenure at the International Study and Language Institute (ISLI), I served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and subsequently as an Associate Lecturer at Henley Business School, specialising in entrepreneurship education. Furthermore, I have held positions as module convener and academic tutor at various higher education institutions across the United Kingdom. My teaching experience spans foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, with a particular emphasis on delivering impactful, student-centred learning.
