What is the National Student Survey (NSS)?
It's the largest survey of undergraduates in the UK, administered by an independent agency and overseen by the Office for Students (OfS). It is a chance to reflect on your experiences during your time with us.
The questions ask you about aspects of your course such as teaching, feedback and assessment, and learning resources. All responses are strictly anonymous, and it takes around 15 minutes to complete.
What is the Sexual Misconduct Survey (SMS)?
In 2025, the Office for Students (OfS), the regulator of higher education in England will be asking all final year students across England to complete a pilot survey which asks about their experiences of sexual misconduct. The objective is to gain insight into the number of students who have experienced sexual misconduct, both within and outside of the university context and location.
The Sexual Misconduct Survey will be offered to all students once they have completed and submitted the National Student Survey, unless they have opted out. Please note that the survey is optional. If you’d like more information on the survey themes, please visit
Why take part?
Because your experiences are important. We take your feedback and views seriously because they help us understand what we are doing well and what we can do better. The results are also published on the Discover Uni website, so anyone who is considering university can find out what students like you thought about your course, to help them make decisions about where and what to study.
We, along with Heads of School and other senior colleagues, read hundreds of your comments every year to inform where we invest our time and resource.
This is your opportunity to shape the experience for future ÒÁÈËÖ±²¥app students.
