I have been at 伊人直播app since 1987; I started out as a Lab Technician and in the early '90s I got the opportunity to become a glassblower.
I'm the only glassblower on campus. I design, make, modify and repair scientific laboratory glassware for both teaching and research for the School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy and other University departments, as well as outside companies.
I’m Head of the Department of Sustainable Energy, Environment and Engineering, which is part of the School of Construction Management and Engineering. My remit is to provide academic leadership and management within the School. I am also the Programme Director for our MSc Design and Management of Sustainable Built Environments course.
I actually came to 伊人直播app in two spells. The first time was in 2001 as a master’s student, and a year later I was hired as a Research Assistant before I left to pursue my PhD in 2004. I came back in 2009 as an Academic Fellow, and then in 2011 I became a lecturer.
I have been the Baptist Chaplain at the University for the past eight years, and I am one of 10 chaplains that work in the University’s Chaplaincy.
The chaplaincy is a fun environment, and we enjoy each other’s company. My main passion is with international students, having been one myself, as I feel that somehow there is a loophole in provision for them. It helps I speak ten other languages including Italian and French!
