Completed Projects:

library refurbishment
To a university student, a library becomes more than an ordinary building. Libraries are integral to the student journey, helping to stimulate learning and development.
This is why we have invested over £40m into the modernisation of our Library. We want the Library to be a vibrant focal point of our Whiteknights campus. The project began in summer 2016 and the Library is now open with all services available.

Chancellors Building
Several of our major redevelopment projects mean that moving locations will be unavoidable. To ensure that teaching goes on as usual, we invested £8.4 million into the creation of the Chancellor’s Building, a purpose-built temporary teaching space.
It currently houses the School of Construction Management and Engineering (SCME) following its relocation from the URS and Engineering buildings.

Van eMDEN tHEATRE
The Van Emden Lecture Theatre at Whiteknights campus has undergone a major refurbishment.
As part of the Edith Morley building (formally the HumSS building), the lecture theatre now offers students and guests a larger and more comfortable space to study and learn.

Greenlands accommodation project
In recent years, there has been a significant shift in the hotel industry to provide larger rooms at a better quality for business clientele.
Henley Business School needs to respond to these demands and the changing expectations of its business delegates in order to maintain its position in the global market.
We have invested nearly £9 million into the creation of new, high-quality accommodation at Henley Business School’s Greenlands campus, replacing the existing 56 bedrooms available in Paddock House.
60 new bedrooms have been built into two separate buildings, with each bedroom equivalent to the standards and specifications of four-star accommodation.

3sixty refurbishment
The 3sixty nightclub is at the heart of our Students’ Union – it’s where our students come together for club nights, special events and more, with maybe a drink or two thrown into the mix.
It has undergone a £2.9m refurbishment to improve all of the club’s features, including cutting-edge audio/visual systems, better access and general improvements to facilities and décor.

JJ Thomson lecture theatres
The Ditchburn and Right Hand lecture theatres have been completely refurbished in a £2.3 million modernisation – transforming the interior of the theatres, providing increased seating capacity and improving access arrangements.
